"To reach out to the world around us and share the everlasting love of Jesus Christ" – John 3:16

From the Prayer Ministry: Our Mission is to elevate the level of Prayer in Friendship Baptist Church. Therefore, we share with you the following notification.
This Thursday, May 7th is the National Day of Prayer. It is observed every year on the first Thursday in May. It was created in 1952 by a joint session of Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. Its purpose is to remind every individual about the need for personal repentance and prayer and to mobilize Christians to intercede in prayer for America in a unified manner. We encourage each of you to set aside at least 10 minutes to pray on Thursday. You don’t need to limit your prayer to a prayer for the country. You can also pray for friends and family, our church, job situations or whatever is on your heart but be sure to include a prayer for America. The theme for this year’s National Day of Prayer is: “Glorify God, Among the Nations. Seeking Him in All Generations.” I Chronicles 16:24. There are numerous events throughout the city. One of which is a gathering at Memorial Park at 1:00pm, which is free and open to the public. There will also be a 90-minute national broadcast at 6pm MST.
